Drug-Free School and Workplace Policy
In compliance with the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989 and the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, Millennium Beauty Institute prohibits the unlawful possession, use, manufacture, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students and employees on school premises or as part of any school activity.
Millennium Beauty Institute has a zero tolerance policy for drugs, sexual harassment, and discrimination. This is a drug-free institute. Anyone caught with illegal substances will be dismissed from the school immediately and authorities will be notified. Firearms are not permitted on the premises.
Sanctions
Students or employees who violate this policy may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including immediate termination of enrollment or employment, and referral to law enforcement for prosecution. A student dismissed due to conduct has the right to appeal, and the appeal must be made to the School Director within 5 business days of dismissal. Reinstatement is at the discretion of the School Director.
Health Risks
The use of illicit drugs and the abuse of alcohol present serious health risks including, but not limited to, impaired judgment, addiction, organ damage, mental health disorders, and death.
